Very interesting.

This project file was started simply to see how the edges of a mixed bag of Log Cabin blocks could be bordered. Curved bits, pointy bits can be mixed with straight lines of zigzags! One day I should add designs to the centre areas of all these designs.

The extra curves in the second design is telling me that a large area of applique could work well in the centre as well.

I guess any pieced blocks could be used to fill the blank space to. or perhaps a mixture of pieced and applique blocks.

Interesting, but not wonderful start today, in more ways than one. Early start but got held up with computer and printer problems. They are not speaking to each other, and I nearly stopped talking to either of them, and what I said wasn’t very polite!

This project file started when I wanted to frame some designs with Log Cabin blocks in the borders, and grew into a largish collection of border designs. They are still waiting for applique blocks to be added, but those with Log Cabin blocks in the centres have grown into three figures.
